Google Partners with Worldline to Drive Digital Transformation in Payment Industry

In a strategic move, payment service provider Worldline has joined forces with tech giant Google to fuel its digital transformation using Google Cloud’s cloud-based technologies, as highlighted in The Fintech Times. 

As part of this collaboration, Google will assist Worldline in facilitating seamless online payments for its European customers. Both companies will work together to explore market opportunities and enhance digital experiences for merchants and financial institutions.

Since 2022, Worldline has been committed to its ‘Move to Cloud’ program, leveraging cloud technology to propel itself into a global paytech company. By utilizing Google Cloud’s secure, high-performance, and low-latency infrastructure, Worldline aims to expedite this program, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and fortify its strategic position.

Worldline is also set to harness Google Cloud’s data analytics and AI capabilities to unlock the potential of its data, enabling the development of innovative payment products and services. Additionally, Worldline’s choice of Google Cloud aligns with its focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Google Cloud’s commitment to sustainability.

Expanding their partnership, Worldline will now serve as a key payment provider for Google across Europe and various other regions. The objective is to offer Google customers advanced payment options, support for additional payment networks, enhanced cross-border conversion, and an improved customer experience.
