Exness Announces Fintech Scholarships Programme in South Africa

Exness, a multi-asset broker, is currently inviting applications for its Fintech Scholarships programme in South Africa, as reported by The Fintech Times. This marks the second year in a row that the company is actively supporting STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in the region.

The Exness Fintech Scholarships programme has a profound mission: to foster academic excellence and nurture the career development of underprivileged yet exceptionally talented individuals. The goal is to empower them to become the next generation of tech leaders.

In collaboration with the University of Cape Town (UCT), a prestigious institution in South Africa, Exness is extending its support to university students pursuing science and tech-related courses.

Martin Thorvaldsson, Head of Community at Exness, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to continue the Exness Fintech Scholarships Programme for the second year in South Africa, providing a platform for outstanding young minds to shine in the tech-related arena.”

Thorvaldsson also emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting talented students, stating, “Following the remarkable success of the programme, we are eager to back another group of gifted students, enabling them to contribute to the advancement of technology and science, not only in South Africa but on a global scale.”

He added, “At Exness, we firmly believe in the transformative potential of education and technology. These scholarships embody our dedication to nurturing talent that can drive significant advancements in our sector.”

The Fintech Scholarships offer recipients financial assistance that covers either a portion or the entirety of their tuition fees, along with support for living expenses. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must have received an acceptance offer from the University of Cape Town for Computer Science or Mathematics programs and maintain an academic average of over 70 percent or its equivalent.

Notably, the fintech scholarships have already benefited three University of Cape Town students and 50 others from Cyprus and Kenya. The programme has ambitious plans to expand its reach to additional countries, further strengthening its commitment to empowering the future leaders of technology and innovation.
