JCB International and The Bicester Collection Expand Payment Partnership Across Europe

JCB International, a global payments brand, has announced the extension of its partnership with Value Retail, the operator of The Bicester Collection, across eight luxury shopping destinations in Europe, as outlined in The Fintech Times.

The collaboration, which began in April 2019, aims to capitalize on the increasing international travel trends and provide new growth opportunities. This extension follows the success of their initial partnership, which has significantly expanded JCB Card acceptance across The Bicester Collection, resulting in a 51% year-on-year growth in spending by JCB Cardmembers.

Ray Shinzawa, Managing Director of JCB International (Europe) Ltd, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership, stating, “Our partnership with The Bicester Collection has been a great success over the past three years, and we are thrilled to extend it for another two years. This expansion allows us to continue to offer our valuable cardmembers exclusive benefits and increased spending opportunities at luxury shopping destinations across Europe.”

Graham Stanford, Director of Partnerships, B2B, The Bicester Collection, added, “We are committed to providing magical experiences for our guests, numbering 46 million in 2023 and whom we welcome from all corners of the world. As international travel grows, we look forward to serving more JCB Cardmembers and to creating ever-more memorable experiences for them on their travels in Europe.”

The extended partnership will offer increased acceptance opportunities for JCB Cardmembers, along with special promotions and savings. Luxury Village brand partners can expect a surge in spending by JCB Cardmembers from the Asia-Pacific region, particularly from top-spending countries and territories like Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and South Korea. Emerging markets such as India, Vietnam, Laos, and Bahrain, which are experiencing notable increases in spending, offer promising opportunities for brands to tap into new revenue streams.

The partnership between JCB International and The Bicester Collection signifies a strategic move to cater to the growing demands of luxury shoppers and international travelers, further enhancing the shopping experience across Europe’s premier luxury destinations.
