Beyond Introduces Tally to Simplify Payments for Short-Term Vacation Rentals

Beyond, a leading revenue management solution provider catering to vacation rental managers and owners, has launched Tally, an innovative payment processing solution tailored specifically to the vacation rental industry, according to PYMNTS News.

Tally aims to address the payment challenges often encountered when dealing with direct booking platforms. The solution is designed to empower property managers, enabling them to optimize their revenue potential while streamlining payment operations. This, in turn, promises a seamless experience for property managers and their guests alike.

Kameron Bain, Director of Strategy at Beyond, emphasized the need for reliable, user-friendly, and efficient payment processing solutions tailored to the unique demands of managing payments for short-term rentals. Bain highlighted the importance of eliminating uncertainties regarding payment processing duration and stated, «a property manager should never have to wonder how long a payment processor is holding their funds.» He expressed enthusiasm about Tally’s people-centered approach to payments and its role in supporting the company’s growth within the vacation rental industry.

The Tally solution encompasses an array of features designed to streamline payment processing. These features include a PCI-compliant payment gateway and robust fraud prevention and detection measures.

Tally also equips property management organizations with a comprehensive dashboard that operates behind the scenes. This dashboard facilitates tasks such as managing payouts and reconciliations, handling transactions, addressing disputes, and enabling automated collections through both one-time payments and scheduled billing.

In terms of payment methods, property managers utilizing Tally can now accept a diverse range of payment options. These include all major credit and debit cards, ACH transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This flexibility in payment acceptance enhances the overall checkout experience and contributes to improved conversion rates, according to the company.

The introduction of Tally by Beyond follows closely after SAP Concur, a travel and expense management platform, revealed its plans to launch an enhanced booking experience. This new platform aims to provide a seamless end-to-end booking process encompassing air travel, hotel reservations, and car rentals for Sabre, an online travel company.

The forthcoming platform, slated for release in the upcoming quarter, promises an improved browsing experience, enriched content and imagery, a streamlined booking process, and enhanced search capabilities. Notably, SAP Concur also emphasizes the growing importance of sustainability in travel. The new Concur Travel experience will empower travelers with information and filters that promote eco-friendly choices and enable compliance with corporate policies regarding sustainable travel practices.
